Thank You!

Norcross Wildlife Foundation

Your $1,500 grant supporting our Science Saturdays Programs are already being put to work. Without this generous grant, our programming would simply not be possible. We look forward to your continued support in the future.

The Pfeiffer Family

Your continued donations have significantly expanded the reach of Critical Minds. We look forward to supporting some great projects in the 2015-16 school year. Stay tuned for status updates on Facebook and Twitter. We sincerely appreciate the support you have provided for our cause.

Danny & Ellen Estevez

Your sponsorship of a gold and two silver awards for local science fairs will directly impact the lives of 3 students forever. They'll go home and surely brag about what they did and what they earned for their hard work and start planning for next year, but more importantly, it will dangle the carrot in front of over 300 students and encourage them to pursue science the right way. This is what CM is all about. Thank you for sharing our vision.

Microsoft

The donation of software valued at over $800 will allow us to more efficiently generate our written products and distribute services. It will also enable us to seamlessly collaborate with all members of our team while working towards our mission. We appreciate your generosity.

GoDaddy

The donation of over $350 worth of services allowed us to upgrade our website and promote our cause. This donation has brought an elegance to our work, making our website significantly more engaging and user-friendly. We are grateful for your continued support.

Donate Time

Accomplishing our mission is only made possible by those willing and able to donate their knowledge.

Money

Critical Minds is reliant upon your financial support. We are a new nonprofit, so any support you can give is welcome. Please read below for more information on setting up one-time or recurring donations. We appreciate your generosity.

Time

Critical Minds needs your help. We are always looking for subject area mentors to help advise students for our service grants. If you have expertise in a science field or are good at editing format and grammar, we'd love to add you to our list of volunteers.

Just like your donation to Goodwill can bring you some reprieve come tax day, so too can your donation of resources to Critical Minds. We have a particular interest in your old, but working microscopes, glassware, laptops, cameras,  and aquariums.

If you have biological sampling materials such as small mammal traps, Seine nets, trail cameras, etc. we would gladly accept your donation.Though new and flashy is great, there is something to be said for doing stuff the 'old-fashioned' way. Just because it's got some dust on it, doesn't mean it isn't useful to us.

Andrea can help you with all of your resource donation questions. Please email Andrea to coordinate your equipment donation(s).

Resources

The reason why students come to us for help is primarily because their schools and teachers don't have the necessary resources for them to be successful. We are looking for anything from glassware to microscopes to other technologies. Contact us to setup your in-kind donation.

To do this, Critical Minds is trying to grow a list of willing mentors who are highly qualified to advise a student. Our mentors are there to answer questions, give guidance, and provide positive encouragement to the student learners. As educators, we know that the student to mentor ratio is critical, so we keep it as simple as possible:  1:1.

We will only match you with one student at a time and we will only match you with students who have a specific need in an area that you designate as willing to offer support in. When a student request matches your qualifications, you can expect to receive an email from us. At that time, we will also provide you with the student's first name, a brief overview of what they are interested in, and any additional information that is necessary.
